Travelling smart with pets
Preparing properly for your pet’s trip
To ensure optimum travel conditions for your pet, we suggest you follow the advice below:
- Avoid carrying it for too long in your car boot just before boarding. Give it some exercise just before putting it in its cage;
- Think about feeding your pet several hours before the flight (4 to 6 hours) to prevent the digestive phase from occurring during the flight;
- Remember to give it a drink just before departure to prevent excessive dehydration during the flight;
- We recommend not giving it any medicines or tranquilisers. Ask your vet for advice on this subject. Cover the bottom of its cage with an absorbent material, such as a blanket;
- Do not hesitate to put a piece of your clothing in its cage. Since it has your scent, your pet will be less stressed during the flight.
Your pet must be kept in the container throughout the flight, and it remains under your entire responsibility.
