Can liquid materials be carried on board?
European regulations require air carriers to refuse the acceptance of liquids in the cabin, (except for the exceptions presented below). These Regulations apply to all flights departing from the European Union, including the Overseas Departments, from Switzerland, Norway and Iceland. To prepare your baggage properly, please read this rules given by the Ministry of Ecological and Solidarity Transition.
The name "liquids" is comprised of :
• liquids
• gels,
• pastes
• The contents of pressurized containers (drink, perfume, lotion, hair gel, shower gel, shampoo, toothpaste, shaving foam and any other article of a similar consistency).
• Liquid cheeses such as cottage cheese weighing more than 100ml or 100g (mascarpone, cottage cheese, yogurt, dessert cream...),
• Creamy cheeses such as spreadable cheese over 100ml or 100g,
It is possible to bring in the cabin liquids which is essential for your health, such as:
• baby food, necessary for travel, dietary supplements, medicines.
When going through the boarding lounge, the security officer may ask you for proof of authenticity, either on proof of purchase or order, or by tasting them.
Please note: any liquids which don’t seem to possess the features as defined above will be withdrawn by the security officer when you pass through the boarding lounge.
