What do I need to know about transporting my pet in the cabin?

Réponse

In the cabin, you are only allowed to travel with 1 animal under your responsibility during the entire flight. Prior to departure, you must notify us of your pet's presence on board by making a seat reservation no later than 72 hours prior to departure.

It must be at least 2 months old and microchipped.

Baggage allowance:

Your animal is not included in your cabin luggage allowance.
Per animal, you will have to pay a fee of :

  • Eur 75 per leg between Paris and Fort-de-France, Pointe-à-Pitre, Mayotte or Reunion island.
  • Eur 150 per leg between Paris, Montreal Madagascar or Africa.

Pets are not allowed on flights to and from Mauritius.

If you are accompanied by a person who is also transporting an animal, you will be separated on board for safety reasons.

Conditions of carriage

Your pet must be placed in a closed container for the duration of the flight :

  • This container must be fitted with an appropriate locking system and ventilation holes. Its dimensions must not exceed the dimensions of hand luggage, so that it can be placed under your seat (length + width + depth = 115 cm maximum).

  • Certificate of good health less than 5 days old to be presented at check-in (for Abidjan, the anti-rabies certificate and certificate of good health must be dated at least 3 days before departure).

  • For flights departing from Orly, Pointe-à-Pitre, Fort-de-France and Reunion, you can purchase a regulation bag (length + width + depth = 115 cm maximum) for €50 (price subject to change without notice).

  • The maximum weight of the animal and its container is 8 kg. If this weight is exceeded, your pet will have to travel in the hold.

  • Only mice, hamsters and guinea pigs may be transported up to a maximum of 2 per cage.

  • Unaccompanied minors (UMs) are not allowed to carry pets in the cabin.

  • Emotional support animals are not permitted.

If your animal is a guide dog, it will be allowed in the cabin if it does not occupy a seat and is on a leash. Its travel will be free, and as with all animals, its reservation requires a prior request within a maximum of 48 hours before departure.
